About Fork-it-all

Sometimes you just have to Fork it all! We all have this feeling time to time.

As art is a great tool for releasing this tension, one day (about a month or so ago) I bought 30 old forks and a collection of files (the tools, not the things you find in a folder), lent some tools from my neighbour, some from my brother and turned on my creative thinking.

I had enough time at hand and it was not the only time I bought some olf forks. I went back two times (shopkeeper knows me as the Fork Man)

This blog is the result. It lists all the things I have done from old cutlary (keeping it flexible, maybe some day I will turn to knives and spoons aswell). Most of them have been made as X-mas gifts of 2015. However, some are still there, if you are interested, feel free to contact me zarvik(at)yahoo.com or leave a comment.

As some of the works are quite cool (only a few) you might think that I know what I am doing. You would be wrong. I just try to do the best I can with the tools and skills I have. I am an amateur, but I am learning while doing. (first lesson: using sharp tools is always a better idea than using old and blunt ones. Second lesson: patiece is the key. Third lesson: Have something for the noise).

Maybe I will continiue this kind of art in the future, maybe not, who knows. Some works are still in progress, there are still parts waiting (and I don't like wasting material). This is the material left at the moment of publishing this site:
